Medical Malpractice

Medical malpractice lawsuits are inherently complex and expensive.  They usually name multiple defendants, including medical practitioners and their hospitals or medical centers, giving rise to potential cross-claims among the co-defendants.  Also, the personal injury itself is often multilayered, requiring a complete understanding through the hiring of multiple experts to support each of the medical lawyers.  Discovery in these cases becomes extremely time, cost and stress intensive.

Collaborative practice in medical malpractice lawsuits streamlines the whole process.  Each party appears together with their medical malpractice attorney around the same table at the same time.   These collaboratively-trained attorneys look at how to settle the malpractice lawsuit from the beginning, and openly share information as needed to do so.  Costs of a single neutral expert are split among the parties, while a trained collaborative facilitator manages the efficiency of the case.  The result is significantly less time to come to resolution, less cost overall, and reduced stress among the parties.
